The worst cramp in the bottom of my foot for the last couple of hours. Yow.

Work tomorrow then heading off to join my love in California.

Drinking iced tea with big slices of Meyer lemon out of a mason jar. Quinoa simmering on the stove. It's my first time making it - hope it comes out alright.

We've been hitting Super Natural Cooking pretty hard around here lately. Some really solid, simple recipes that lend themselves well to tweaking and personalizing. I snagged my copy used on the cheap at Half Price Books. Win.

New Orleans is on the Travel Channel and it makes me want to go.

Hey you.

Today been on call for work all day and have thus far avoided doing any work at all.

What I did do was bake some whole wheat chocolate chip cookies with spelt flakes and a healthy dose of butter. My love took some to the neighbors. Now simmering some of the biggest white beans ever seen and lazing on the couch.

We got our tri-yearly 10 minutes of rain this evening. Stood on the porch and watched it blow around.

The sheets from our bed are in the dryer.

Leaving on vacation in 13 days. Temperatures at our destination should be in the sixties and I reserved us some rental bikes for one of the days we are there.

Hey there.

Today had a mole thing (the official medical term ) taken off my scalp. It took all of two minutes and required not even a bandaid, but now it is a little achy and I'm feeling whiny.

Putting off today's workout, having a beer and planning to watch some bad television and turn in early.

Oh wow guys - I hate to be so mundane - BUT the heat here is about to kill me. Today is day 50 of 100+ temperatures and August is always the worst.

I'm ready for an escape.

Sitting here like a complete sloth. Can't convince myself to do a thing.
