Decision

Dinner

Currently accepting dinner suggestions

Things you can do without leaving the house:

Schedule a salon appointment four weeks (and two paychecks) in the future.

Take a grapefruit scented bubbly bath.

Donate some dollars to a political campaign.

Eat five Oreo cookies for breakfast.

Things you have to brave the heat for:

Filling up your gas tank. Ouch.

Picking up some groceries. (Please see the title of this post.)

And if you find some motivation lying around on your errands perhaps taking a walk or going for a swim.

Last few days the whole fam has been down south visiting. Lucky for them they are just in time for the 100 degree weather. Last night they were over for Indian food. Fun time.

Now am eating cold chicken vindaloo with rice and thinking of retiring to bed for the night. My love will be home late and I am beat.

Have worked my way up to a five patient load at work and it is crazy. Not quite sure how am going to cram the sixth one in and get off of orientation and out all by my lonesome.

Aaack.

Not much else is happening here.

What's news with you?

Toast with cashew butter and wild blueberry preserves for lunch.

Ordered a new linen skirt and some ballet flats for me and a t-shirt with a toaster on it for my live-in lover.

Spent most of my day off today lying in bed and feeling a little sickly. Hurricane Dolly pushed some rain up our way so it wasn't hard to do.

Wish I had some 7-up, saltines, and a can of chunky soup like my mama used to dispense for me when feeling under the weather.

Back to work tomorrow is gonna be ass if I feel like this.

Hurrah !

No nap. No new outfit.

But am going to have a hot dog (or two) with cheese and onions and a mountain of relish for dinner.

Chomp chomp.
Only had to work 8 hours today.

Rockin'.

I'm going to buy myself a new outfit and then take a nap.

Aggressive agenda !

When we moved last weekend one of the last things in our old place of residence was a 15 year old food processor with a broken locking mechanism that had to be smashed in place with a knife in order for it to work.

I suggested we throw it out rather that haul it to the new place up three flights of stairs. And by suggested I mean chucked it in the trash despite Boyfriend's protests that we keep it until we get a new one.

How often do you use a food processor anyway, right?

Then yesterday I pulled out a recipe for some salsa I have been wanting to try and make with avocados and tomatillos and serranos.

Someone was quite amused when I read aloud that it called for a blender.

That someone was not me.

Guess what we went shopping for yesterday afternoon.

Which is good because today I need to use it to puree some marinara sauce for pizza.

I'm such a clever girl sometimes.

This weekend we move into our new apartment. On the third floor.

I don't ever recommend that you try it.

It ate it pretty hard.

Work on Monday also pretty much blew and it is hard to not be completely overwhelmed. The people I work with continue to be incredibly helpful and supportive though which is the one thing keeping me from having a crying fit at least once a shift.

I'm about to head to the market as we are in serious need of some groceries.

But first I should put on some pants and maybe brush my teeth.

I draw the line though at taking a shower.

What have you been up to?

When I get home from work my feet are achey and I just want to lay down and snooze.

Today I saw a patient walking down the hall with thigh high TED hose and pushing an IV pole. He was wearing an extra hospital gown around his shoulders and it was billowing behind him like a cape.

He looked like the world's unluckiest super hero.

My computer restarts in 30 seconds from automatic updates.

Later.

Getting paid and then being broke two days later rocks so fucking hard.

Did manage to pay all of my bills for the month which is a nice change and makes me feel a little more self-sufficient.

Oh! And purchased some professional liability insurance which makes me feel super grown-up and responsible and shit.

Also later this week we will sign a lease on a new apartment and move.

Look at me just keepin' on truckin' into adulthood.

Briefs (Not Boxers)

The people I work with are really helpful and nice. It is kind of wierding me out since am used to people being such dicks.

Three twelve hour shifts in a row is going to kick.my.ass.

When got home today my lovah had made fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy. Holla.

Friday is pay day.

We are moving into a bigger place next week.

It's almost nine o'clock and time for me to go to bed.

Night night.
