Everyone except me and the big orange cat is still sleeping. We are sitting on the couch enjoying the quiet and the morning sunlight. On call for work all day today so nothing much planned. Going to make some coffee and start to map out next month's trip to San Francisco.

Have a lovely Sunday.

Went for a walk. Did some stretching. Shower. Had a little snack and a cup of tea. Now in bed early, to sleep soon. Off work again tomorrow. Wonderful.

Night night.

hi you.

Have been wanting to get back to this space, but then I don't.

This morning reminds me of being in my little house in Kansas while I was going to nursing school. My love and I had just started dating ( long distance ) and I'd listen to his Joni Mitchell album and read never ending textbook chapters and drink chai tea and try not to freeze in the Midwestern winter. This morning though it is KD Lang on Pandora and a cup of coffee and staring at the pile of laundry I need to put away while balancing my checkbook and trying not to melt away in the Texas summer.

The quiet though is the same quiet and I still feel loved and hopeful but less stressed and more secure.

Scheming ways to go back to school without quitting my job.

Noodling around the web for places to visit next year. We're headed to Napa/Sonoma/San Francisco for several days at the end of August and for a quick weekend in Boston the first of December, ( Brr ! ) but I want to go someplace beachy and green for my birthday in February and somewhere interesting and romantic for our anniversary in May.

Stephen is a really great traveling companion and the one who usually takes my online and book planning and translates it into the logistics of actually doing things. Like piloting the car or making sure we get on the right train or finding the perfect bottle of wine to go with our dinner.

This afternoon picking Sister up at the airport and enlisting her to help me make veggie enchiladas for dinner and then tonight going to a yoga class. Trying lately ( along with my dearest Pomegranate ) to move more and sit around like a lump less. Signed up to do a 5K run/walk at the end of September. My less than lofty goal is to complete in less than 45 minutes. Though if you could see how slowly I move you'd think it more lofty than maybe you did just now reading it. Heh.

Going now to futz with the layout of this page a bit and then to put the house in order.

Hope to see you soon.
