Welcome, Saturday.

Cup of coffee number two, breakfast working in the kitchen, and fresh air through the open window.

Closing on our new house is Wednesday.

Have a nice weekend.

as the crow flies, you can be my baby

Good Morning !

See that exclamation point ? Good Morning !

There it is again. In case you didn't.

Really cannot quite believe the change in disposition that this second day off from work in a row has brought. It has been weeks (plural !) since had two days off in succession and the lone days off that I do have are usually after call nights and spent doing little more than trying to regroup and prepare for the next day.

Also on work days up before light and rushing around and out the door and no breakfast and UGH. It's the worst and takes several hours to feel awake and functioning and then it is 2 or 3 o'clock when maybe can inhale some food. And by the time the day is over 12 or 15 or MORE hours later all I want to do it leave my nasty clothes in a pile on the floor and pass out.

This wasn't intended to be a work rant at all. Really. What meant to tell you was that I woke up this morning and the sun was out and my love was getting ready for work trying not to wake me and the cat was feeling snuggly and knew had the whole day to do just what I want and it was beautiful.

Have had some cinnamon raisin toast (smidge of butter) and finishing up tea from my favorite little mug (splurt of honey, no milk). There is some folksy, happy music playing in the background and every.single.thing that happens lately, good or bad (or songs that play, even folksy, happy ones) makes me tear up.

It's really the damnedest thing.

I'ma try to dry it up, pull some yoga pants on under my sleep shirt, go out into the sunshine and spring and gather up some things we need.

Coffee, loaf o' bread, shampoo, etc.

Hope you have a day that's your perfect speed.

XOXO

Hi there.

Fed the stray cat, went for a stroll, secured a beverage, drew a bath.

The not-stray cat who is my friend sat on the side of the tub occasionally lapping at the water while I tried to wash off the funk ( both literal and figurative ) of my day.

Getting ready to ease into drink number two, turn on some soft music, and braid my damp, unruly mess of hair.

Some days doesn't the world just beat you down ?

I know.

Me too.

Hang in there.

XOXO
