Oh hey.

Felt kinda awkward going to the store just now for a battery. Our smoke detector needed one. Right now ! It was beeping once a minute ! With no way to silence it !

Anyway.

I felt like a super weirdo going to CVS at 1 AM in my rainbow flannel pajama pants for a nine volt battery - until I checked out right in front of a woman in a silk nightie buying a pineapple Fanta.

WTF ?

I bet the dudes working the overnight shift at a 24 hour pharmacy on the outskirts of town have some hilarious stories.

So now the smoke detector is happy and I'm going back to sleep.

We're just back from our little trip and it was just lovely. I was ill the first bit of it, but came back strong for the end.

The return to the ungodly heat here has been quite rude. Rude !

Spending the rest of the night doing very little and back to work tomorrow.
